ESAG Chairperson’s book on leadership receives great response across United Kingdom
The Power of Authenticity: Three Principles of Leadership authored by Dr Raja Al Gurg, Chairperson and Managing Director, had a series of book releases in the United Kingdom in March. The premier launch took place in the picture gallery of the iconic Victoria & Albert Museum Hall in London. This launch began with an interview with Dr Al Gurg conducted by Tracey Boles, Deputy Business Editor of The Times. The event was attended by HE Mansoor Abdullah Khalfan Juma Abulhoul, UAE Ambassador to UK, leading figures from the business sector as well as Emirati students living in London.
The Arab-British Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) also launched the book in London. The event, held on the eve of International Women’s Day, became a celebration of the growing presence of women in business in the Gulf and across the Arab World. In conversation with the Rt Hon Baroness Symons of Vernham Dean, the ABCC Chairman, Dr Al Gurg spoke of her early career and history of the family business. She explained the principles that have guided her thinking as a business leader.
The Heriot Watt University event in Edinburgh, was hosted at the Adam Smith Panmure House. Adam Smith is known as the Father of Modern Economics. Sally Magnusson a renowned Scottish author and broadcaster, who has anchored several BBC1 daytime shows interviewed Dr Al Gurg for the event. The final launch was held at the Queen’s University in Belfast and attended by Arlene Foster, the former First Minister of Northern Ireland.
